Kino Killassa, Turun Taiteiden Talossa (Nunnankatu 4) järjestetään hyväntekeväisyyselokuvailta Palestiinan hyväksi 30. elokuuta. Tapahtuman lipputuotot menevät Lääkärit Ilman Rajoja -järjestölle tukemaan heidän työtään Gazassa. Vipu on ollut mukana tukemassa hyväntekeväisyyselokuvaillan järjestämistä. 

Kino Kilta helps to organize a charity event to aid Palestine. Income from the tickets are given to the Doctors Without Borders organization to support their work in Gaza.

11-vuotias palestiinalaistyttö Wardi elää perheensä kanssa pakolaisleirissä, jossa hän on elänyt syntymästään lähtien. Hänen isoisoisänsä Sidi oli yksi ensimmäisistä leiriin asettautuneista ihmisistä sen jälkeen kun hänet ajettiin kodistaan vuonna 1948. Wardi pelkää toivon kotiinpaluusta sammuvan kun Sidi päättää antaa hänelle vanhan Galileassa sijaitsevan kotitalonsa avaimen. Etsiessään kadonnutta toivoa leirin syövereistä, hän kerää myös perheensä sukupolvisia kokemuksia ja tarinoita.

Wardi, an 11-year-old Palestinian girl, lives with her whole family in the refugee camp where she was born. Her beloved great-grandfather Sidi was one of the first people to settle in the camp after being chased from his home back in 1948. The day Sidi gives her the key to his old house back in Galilea, she fears he may have lost hope of someday going home. As she searches for Sidi’s lost hope around the camp, she will collect her family’s testimonies, from one generation to the next.
